VapoCept Side Effects Review: The First Two Weeks
None of the pages selling this product discusses side effects at all. That is a gap worth filling, because the most likely effect is also the most predictable.
Gas and bloating from fermentable fibre are expected. The ones that mean stop are liver symptoms and hypoglycaemia.
What fibre typically does first
If fermentable fibre is present in any meaningful amount, gas and bloating in the first fortnight are close to inevitable. Inulin ferments readily and produces gas as a direct consequence of doing what it is supposed to do.
This is dose-related and usually settles within two weeks as microbial populations adjust. Mildly informative, too: noticeable bloating suggests the fibre content is not trivial, which given the capsule format would be surprising.
If it does not settle within a fortnight, stop. There is no benefit here worth ongoing discomfort. And if you manage IBS on a low-FODMAP approach, inulin is exactly the ingredient class that triggers symptoms.
What the other ingredients can do
Green tea extract can cause nausea and stomach upset, particularly on an empty stomach. If it is not decaffeinated — which no page states — it can also cause jitteriness, raised heart rate and disturbed sleep.
Apple cider vinegar worsens reflux in some people and, in liquid form, erodes tooth enamel. It also slows gastric emptying, which is unhelpful in gastroparesis.
Probiotics commonly cause a few days of gas and bloating at the start, which is normal and self-limiting in healthy adults.
Resistant starch produces the same fermentation effects as inulin, though often more gently.

Which symptoms mean stop
Most first-fortnight digestive symptoms are worth waiting out. These are not:
- Yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, pale stools, unusual fatigue or right-sided abdominal pain. These are liver symptoms. Concentrated green tea extract carries a rare but documented liver-injury signal — stop and seek medical advice.
- Shakiness, sweating, confusion or dizziness if you take diabetes medication. Green tea, acetic acid and fibre can each lower glucose, and the effect is additive.
- Severe or persistent abdominal pain, as opposed to bloating.
- Any difficulty swallowing or a sensation of something stuck if the fibre is a viscous type such as glucomannan — take fibre supplements with a full glass of water, always.
And the one that is not a side effect but matters more: if your weight changes markedly in either direction without explanation, that is a reason to see a doctor.
What actually moves the number
It is worth stating plainly on a page that carries an affiliate link: the interventions with real evidence for weight are not sold in bottles.
A sustained energy deficit is the mechanism underneath every method that works. What differs between diets is adherence, not physics, which is why the best approach is reliably the one a given person can keep.
Protein and fibre at meals improve satiety more than any capsule, at the amounts food naturally provides. Resistance training preserves lean mass during weight loss, protecting resting metabolic rate. Sleep matters more than most people expect — short sleep raises ghrelin, lowers leptin and reliably increases intake the next day.
Behavioural support has better trial evidence than any ingredient here. And for people who qualify, prescribed medication now produces effects an order of magnitude larger than anything in this category.
Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: NIDDK on cognitive support, the FDA dietary supplement overview and MedlinePlus on dietary fibre. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see our full independent review or the VapoCept official website reference.
What we would do
Read the ingredient list and the guarantee text on the exact page taking your money, and screenshot both with the date visible — the official pages describe different products on different terms. Take the smallest package. Photograph the Supplement Facts panel when it arrives and compare it against what you were sold. Weigh at the same time each morning and compare weekly averages rather than individual days. And diarise day 50, assuming the shorter version of the guarantee applies.
Frequently asked
Either 180 days or 60 days depending on the page — and the 60-day version requires at least 30 days of use before a claim while calling itself unconditional.
The pages disagree. One lists one bottle at $69, three at $49 each and six at $49 each. The other lists two at $158, three at $207 and six at $294 — $10 to $20 more per bottle.
Not at a researched amount. Chicory inulin is studied at 5–15 grams daily and resistant starch at 15–30 grams. A large capsule holds under one gram in total.
No, and no dietary supplement is. There is no pre-market approval for supplements. Facilities are registered and inspected, which is a different thing from being approved.
Disclaimer. Concentrated green tea extract carries a rare but documented liver-injury signal; green tea, acetic acid and fermentable fibre can each lower blood glucose; green tea contains vitamin K, which affects warfarin; and fibre reduces absorption of levothyroxine and iron taken at the same time. Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering. Unexplained weight change, persistent fatigue or unusual thirst require medical assessment rather than a supplement.
