The two-minute version
Open the two official-looking VapoCept sites in adjacent tabs and compare four things.
Format. One says one capsule daily. One says one scoop in cold water, no pills.
Ingredients. One lists green tea, apple cider vinegar, a fibre blend and a B complex. One lists chicory inulin, potato resistant starch and three probiotic strains. No overlap.
Guarantee. One says 180 days. One says 60, and requires 30 days of use.
Price. Three bottles is $49 each on one and $69 on the other.
That is the review. Four comparisons, two minutes.
The second check, if you want one
Search either ingredient list against the research and note the doses.
Chicory inulin: 5–15 grams daily. Resistant starch: 15–30 grams. Green tea catechins: 250–500 mg. Apple cider vinegar: 15–30 ml of liquid.
Now look for a single amount on either page. There are none. And note that a capsule holds roughly 0.8 grams in total, which rules out the first two ingredients entirely regardless of how they are split.
That is a stronger finding than any subjective assessment, because it does not depend on trusting anyone’s judgement.

Where the money would go further
If you want what these lists contain, buy the ingredients directly.
Inulin or psyllium powder costs a few pence per gram-scale serving and states its amount. That is the fibre mechanism these pages describe, at a dose that can produce it.
Standalone green tea extract prints its catechin standardisation and states whether it is decaffeinated.
Liquid apple cider vinegar costs almost nothing and delivers the amount the trials used.
And if you want the thing that actually moves weight, none of it is sold in bottles: a sustained energy deficit, protein and fibre at meals, resistance training, adequate sleep, and behavioural support. All of them outperform anything discussed on this page.
The probiotic blend that cannot be assessed
Probiotic evidence is strain-specific. Not genus-specific, not species-specific — strain-specific. A result for one documented strain tells you nothing reliable about a different strain of the same species.
That is why a proper probiotic label gives strain designations, which look like a code appended to the species name, together with a CFU count stating how many viable organisms a dose contains.
The page selling the capsule version gives neither. It says “an exclusive combination of three probiotic strains” and stops. Two products could both make that claim and share nothing whatsoever.
Akkermansia muciniphila is mentioned in passing on that page. It is a genuinely interesting organism in metabolic research and also notoriously hard to keep alive, which is presumably why the same page tells you to refrigerate the bottle — an honest handling detail most sellers omit.

What we would do
Read the ingredient list and the guarantee text on the exact page taking your money, and screenshot both with the date visible — the official pages describe different products on different terms. Take the smallest package. Photograph the Supplement Facts panel when it arrives and compare it against what you were sold. Weigh at the same time each morning and compare weekly averages rather than individual days. And diarise day 50, assuming the shorter version of the guarantee applies.

Every figure above comes from a source you can check yourself: the ingredient lists and guarantee terms published on the seller’s own pages, and peer-reviewed literature on each named ingredient. Where an amount is not disclosed — which on this product is everywhere — we say so rather than estimating it. No, and no dietary supplement is. There is no pre-market approval for supplements. Facilities are registered and inspected, which is a different thing from being approved.
